The music of Datakill is today more simple and direct, a mixture of pure hardcore and metalcore energy mixed with catchy melodies and choruses, the band earns positive reviews on many national and international fanzines and, most importantly, a solid local fan-base.
Their music is a genuine cry of anger and frustration, which is felt in the streets of our cities, wanting to come out screaming for their disappointment.
The musical universe of Datakill consists of multiple influences ranging: from hardcore to metal, through hip-hop, punk-rock and tribal rhythms that blends perfectly their powerful hybrid. Their positive mental attitude is reflected fully in their texts, the vision of those who believe there may be a better world and that the real revolution starts from the individual.
The self-release of the EP “l'Odio” (Hatred) in 2001 marked an important turning point in the band's career which has seen its popularity grow up to enviable levels for a group without a contract and without a sponsor.
Their curriculum is enriched by participation in the compilation PUNK AND CONTAMINATION (2003) edited by Sana Records, as well as the live attendance at significant events as Emergenza Rock and opening act for bands such as Regulations and EXTREME.
Their first album, "Fino all’ultimo Respiro" has been released in May 2006 by Built To Last Records, followed up by their first music video "RICORDI BIADITI". Recently, thanks to collaboration with the Pigsty Concerti, Datakill has opened the shows of Oceans of Sadness and Raw Power!
March 2010 will be launched their new self-resease Single: "Ventidue". The band is working now in the studio for their new cd, which will be released still in 2010.
